Credit Union Art Competition 2017 - Local Level Winners

Hundreds of entries for Drogheda Credit Union’s Annual Art Competition posed enormous headaches for judge Tony Conaghy of the Droichead Arts Centre. With most of the categories proving so much more popular than previous years, Tony decided to award additional ‘Highly Commended’ entries.

All budding local artists were invited to submit entries to this year’s All Ireland Credit Union Art Competition by illustrating the theme ‘Set your imagination free’. The winners were announced at a prize awarding function in the Westcourt Hotel on the afternoon of Monday 23^rd October. Paul Brassil of Drogheda Credit Union Ltd presented the winners with their certificates and the very talented winning posters were put on display for all to admire.

The first prize winners of each category will now go forward to Chapter Level where they have a chance of getting through to National Level. We with them all the best of luck. Winners at National Level feature on the Credit Union 2018 calendar.

Drogheda Credit Union would like to thank all those who took part and of course the teachers who do so much every year to encourage their students and make the competition a success. A special thank you to Tony Conaghy who gives his time every year to do the extremely challenging job of judging.
